High Noon (Collector's Edition)
| 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful: LEE VAN CLEEF in his very first movie. And he has no lines to say whatsoever.26 plus years later here he is in "For a Few Dollars More"follow by "The Good,The Bad And The Ugly"-the man in blacx. He had a very hard time getting good roles till he & Clint Eastwood went to Spain.High Noon..in my opinion should have been film in SEPIA...not b/w.It would have been a GIANT STEP for HOLLYWOOD..to make it that way..giving it the old west look...like old pictures from the end of the 19th century. |

All New Jonah Twist| have any real friends yet although he is eight years old already. Because he acts this way out of his life being boring, no one takes him seriously and he gets treated like a baby. This year, things are going to be different because Jonah makes up his mind to forge a reputation for himself as "responsible". Throughout his struggles and adventures, sometimes it seems like it's just not worth it. But in the end, there is a brand new Jonah. My eight year old son Jonah was just like this. I could hardly believe there was a book about a person like this. This book showed him how things got better when someone tried. It's nice to learn from someone else's mistakes instead of suffering for your own. |

| 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: First off, the built-in camera stinks. Now, I understand some people will say that it's a VGA camera, and it's not meant to make prints. I don't mean that. I mean that compared to other VGA cameras on phones, this one stinks. It's constantly blurry and grainy, even in the best of lighting, with noticeable discoloration and aberration in lowered lighting. I've played with other cameraphones, and none of them had picture quality this bad. Even the Sony Ericcson T610, with a smaller picture file had better results. And then, let's not forget how Sprint disabled the ability to beam the pictures to other devices, which mean you have to use their PictureMail service as the only way to keep the pics. Too bad you have to pay up to $$$ a month for the service! It's a good thing the picture quality stinks, as I probably wouldn't even want to keep the pictures anyway, thus saving me money. The reception on this phone is decent, however, and I can receive calls even in my office. My Treo's reception, however, was much better. The speaker on this phone, though, isn't very good, and I sometimes have trouble hearing the person on the other line unless I have it pressed up against my ear a certain way. And then, battery life stinks, too. After a 30 minute call and checking football scores a few times, my phone is down to only two bars, and if I take another five minute call, I need to worry if my phone will die on me. Terrible. The only positive thing about this phone is that it's small and light, so it's easy to pocket. You get what you pay for, and this phone shows it. Spend some money and buy a better phone--you'll be glad. |

Final Fantasy I & II Dawn of Souls
| 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful: Fun: FF: Dawn of Souls is the ORIGINAL FFI and II crammed into one cartridge--only one--with improved graphics, sound and bonus levels and dungeons and a detailed bestiary. Imagine--taking two of the most important games to the RPG genre with you anywhere. I remember wishing I could do that when I was in elementary school!Let me start off with graphics. Now, I've read a review or two commenting on the graphics for these games, noting that they're nothing special, if not downright disappointing. Let me say that I've played the original FF and these graphics are head and shoulders above that. Considering that it's a GBA, the sprites are bright and crisp, and as my wife likes to point out "cute," and there's also beautiful cutscenes at various points in the story. Then, consider the depth and scope of this game with all the added improvements, and this becomes quite the accomplishment. The music, also, is an upgrade, with orchestral MIDI sounds, as opposed to the 8-bit sound of the original. You can tell that a lot of time and effort went into remaking this classic. But the real meat of this game is gameplay. The FFI lacks the deep storyline that most gamers are used to, but it's still a compelling, fun game. And it's FFII where the idea of story and character development comes into play, and it makes for an fun, nostalgic experience on the GBA. This game will take away hours of your life and, if you enjoy RPGs, it will be worth it. The only negative for this game is difficulty level. FFI is easier and faster than the original (at least as far as I remember), with level increases coming along quite quickly, with stats rising at a very fast rate. Not a deal-breaker by any means, though. For first-time players to this game or this genrre, it's a welcome improvement, as it is a portable game, and having the long, drawn-out battles that I remember, would make it difficult to play on-the-go. With that said, the inclusion of being able to save any time, any place, as opposed to needing a tent or an inn, is a welcome, necessary improvement for this GBA version. Overall, I'm in love all over again. While the graphics aren't "Golden Sun," the gameplay is much the same, and I fully recommend this great game. |
