5.0 out of 5 stars Very soothing, pregnant or not!, November 17, 2002
We purchased this CD with the intention of using it for relaxation during natural childbirth using the Bradley method. That didn't work out so well... (that's another story!)

But, I found this CD very relaxing during the pregnancy and we use it just as often now in the nursery. Just a nice selection of classical tunes.

This bag weighs a TON, before you even put anything in it. Which by the way isn't easy to do, despite being and enormous bag there is very little space inside.. ...

5.0 out of 5 stars Comparable to the Britax, but costs a whole lot less., November 17, 2002
We recently had to purchase a convertible car seat for our 4-month old, because she had grown too tall (> 26 inches) for her infant car seat.

A friend who bought this car seat for her son she was so happy with the it that we decided to look for the same model. We were pleased to discover Evenflo also makes this car seat in an "Osh Kosh" pattern that we were able to purchase at our local Babies R us store. I really love the khaki and denim fabric on the Osh Kosh model.

I compared the features of the this car seat to the Britax roundabout. Both have shock absorbing foam and comfy padding. Both have factory installed tether for front-facing. Both looked comfortable and easy to use. The only advantage I can see in the Britax is the "versa tether" which can help stabilize the seat when in the rear facing position. So, I decided to try this car seat first, and decided that if I had difficulty installing it securely I would return it for the Britax with the versa tether.

Well, the car seat installed like a dream. I did use a car seat leveler and a "mighty-tite" seat belt device, but you cannot budge this car seat in any direction. Not even a little bit. My daughter seems very comfortable and sleeps easily in this seat. Really, it looks like a big recliner when installed rear-facing in the full recline position. Personally, I thought it looked more comfy than the Britax seat.

The only disadvantage to this seat is the size. It is a BIG carseat, and takes up a lot of room in the rear-facing position. This is okay if you have a large backseat, or don't need to recline the front seat too much. We have this seat installed in a 4-door explorer and a Saab sedan, and it just barely fits in the center rear seat of either vehicle. We couldn't fit the car seat directly behind one of the front seats, unless the front seats were moved up quite a bit. Not a big deal now, as we only have 1 child and prefer the center position. Later, with 2 carseats this might be a problem.

We have not had any problems with the buckle, and we love how easy it is to adjust the harness. We do agree that it would be better if the harness knob was a little easier to get to in the rear-facing position.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this bag so much I bought another in a smaller size, November 17, 2002
This bag is super lightweight and holds twice as much stuff as other bags the same size. Really, this bag weighs almost nothing. I returned my first diaper bag (by Baby Trend) and got this one, because the other bag was extremely heavy before I had even put anything in it. The compartments are great and the smaller compartments on the front are great for your wallet, keys, etc.

We also like that it is somewhat neutral and doesn't really look like a diaper bag. So my husband doesn't mind carrying it either, which is always a plus.

As for the comment about it falling apart, we have overstuffed the bag on many trips and we use it almost daily without any signs of wear and tear. Both bags still look brand new.

This bag is a nice size for longer trips, but we bought the same bag in the "mini" version (in red) and it is perfect for shorter trips. I highly recommend either bag.
